My name is Jay Pearson. I’m a Graphic Designer who has recently graduated with a 2:1 from a Graphic Design BA(Hons) course at the University of the West of England.
I discovered my passion for graphic design while studying for an art and design foundation at Stourbridge in 2015.
What drew my to graphic design was how broad and limitless it is. From using hand rendered techniques such as screen printing and mono printing to digital rendered techniques using programs such as Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
I found that I could create a large variety of visually expressive pieces of work. At university I learned how to develop concepts and messages and integrate them into the work I create, and therefore give it purpose instead of just creating purely aesthetic pieces with little meaning.
Currently I am looking for internships and employment opportunities with graphic studios to learn more and gain real world experience alongside industry professionals and how they respond to their clients briefs.
